Job Summary: The Undefeated is the premier platform for exploring the intersection of race, sports and culture. We enlighten and entertain with innovative storytelling, original reporting and provocative commentary. Not conventional. Never boring. The Undefeated is seeking a General Editor to run the Rhoden Fellowship, a program created to support the growth of students studying journalism/communications at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The program is named for William Rhoden, who is a columnist for The Undefeated and was an award-winning New York Times sports columnist. The Rhoden Fellowship aims to create a journalism pipeline for students interested in all phases of the industry: sports journalism, video, design, editing, sales, and public relations. The General Editor will be the initial point of contact with those doing business with the program. They will have an understanding of the editorial mission of The Undefeated and the Fellowship and, along with Rhoden, be an editorial voice and mentor to the students. The position requires someone with top notch administrative skills. This position will be the liaison with relevant parties that may include: various media outlets, sports teams/players, event venues, hotels, and journalism departments at their HBCUs. The Undefeated is located in Washington D.C. This position will be remote until the company determines it is safe to return to the office. Once safe, it will require the candidate live in the city or relocate for the position. Responsibilities:
