Job Summary: Comprised of Disney's international media businesses and the Company's various streaming services, the Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) segment aligns technology, media distribution, and advertising sales into a single business segment to create and deliver personalized entertainment experiences to consumers around the world. Playing an important role in the growth and future of DMED and The Walt Disney Company, the Technology team helps drive the strategic development and deployment of technology at the Walt Disney Company. It creates products, platforms and innovations for Disney's portfolio of brands and businesses, while building scalable systems that connect hundreds of millions of consumers to Disney's beloved stories, characters and brands. Program Management for Media Engineering (ME) is focused on facilitating delivery of diverse engineering solutions in support of The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) content distribution. The ME project portfolio consists of Transmission/Uplink, Broadcast/Entertainment Systems, Content/Post Production and Storage engineering; as well as Compute, Network and Security Infrastructure technologies across Disney brands including Disney Cable Networks, ABC Television Networks, ESPN, Freeform, FX/Nat Geo and Hulu. These technologies support domestic and international distribution across a broad ecosystem including linear television, mobile, web, and OTT. Program Management for Media Engineering (ME) is focused on facilitating delivery of diverse engineering solutions in support of The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) content distribution. DMED Technology Operations team engages and partners with leaders across all business segments to drive roadmaps and requirements that support their business processes; manage work intake, prioritize investments and resources; drive operational effectiveness and efficiency; deliver global program and project management; monitor and communicate key performance indicators; and deliver foundational technology critical to our own day-to-day operations. Responsibilities: A Day in the Life... The intern will work with GPM leads, primarily in support of a project management tools strategy implementation across Media Engineering technical areas including Systems and Distribution Engineering, Content Production and Storage Systems, Transmission/Uplink, FX Post Production and Entertainment Systems Engineering. Other responsibilities may include developing and/or maintaining presentation deliverables, data gathering, light project management or other related activities.
